Customer case
Kondektor
Workwear Retailer, Sweden
Background
About Kondektor
Kondektor is a leading Swedish retailer specialising in workwear and PPE, serving both walk-in customers and a robust B2B clientele. With four physical stores and a large base of construction firms, industrial suppliers, and service providers, Kondektor’s operations demand account-based purchasing, negotiated pricing, and efficient logistics.
Fast, Controlled Checkout for B2B Customers
A unique aspect of their business is that craftsmen often visit stores early in the morning, grab what they need, and check out quickly. At the counter, they present their ID (typicallya driver’s license), which is scanned and linked to the transaction — seamlessly sent from POS365 to Business Central.
Furthermore, credit and credit limit checks, as well as a check to see if the customer is blocked, are performed by POS365, which communicates directly with Business Central.
The callenge
Kondektor needed a solution that could:
- Prioritise ERP workflows: Convert POS transactions into sales orders in Business Central, not just invoices.
- Support B2B pricing and terms: Enable pricelists, account-based purchasing, and ID scanning at checkout.
- Deliver operational flexibility: Allow staff to edit item names/prices and search by SKU at POS.
- Enable omnichannel logistics: Sync orders across web and store, manage Click & Collect, and generate delivery slips.
- Scale cost-effectively: Avoid stacking apps and middleware to achieve true omnichannel.
The solution
By integrating Business Central, POS365, and Shopify, Kondektor launched a powerful omnichannel system from day one:
- Shopify remains the primary platform for e-commerce and B2B account management.
- POS365 powers in-store POS, retail sales, and B2B account management.
- All are fully integrated with Business Central, Nets is the PSP for payments.
This hybrid model delivers:
- Shopify for customer-facing online sales.
- POS365 in shop retail and B2B on account sales transaction
Results and benefits
Seamless B2B workflows
Customers can buy on account with a simple ID scan, giving instant access to their account terms. Pricelists flow directly from Business Central to POS365, ensuring that every transaction reflects accurate and up-to-date pricing.
Cost-effective omnichannel
Achieve a faster, leaner omnichannel rollout — without the need for custom apps or add-ons. The solution scales effortlessly across multiple stores, with no extra fees for additional registers or locations.
Operational agility
Staff can edit item names and prices directly at the POS, while fast SKU search makes it easy to handle thousands of products. Delivery slips, Click & Collect, and even complex fulfilment processes are all managed effortlessly in one place.
ERP Integration
POS365 posts transactions as unposted sales orders or invoices, giving the finance team full control over the entire process. An upcoming feature will make this even smoother with embedded sales order screens directly in the POS checkout.
